For speeches due soon

Speech help when the date is already close

If your speech is due tomorrow, start with the page that matches your situation below. Each one asks a few questions about the person and the room, then returns three personalized drafts in about ten minutes. Read the openings free before you decide to unlock a full speech.

Not in a rush? The occasion guides linked under each group go deeper on structure, with full example speeches for the most common roles. Either way, the fastest thing you can do right now is write down one story you want to tell. Everything else builds on it.

Two things to check before you start

How long you have to speak. Most wedding toasts run two to four minutes and most eulogies five to seven, and a minute of speaking is roughly 130 words. The speech length calculator turns a word count into minutes so you are not guessing on the day.

Who will be in the room. A story that lands with the couple's college friends can lose their grandparents. Pick the one memory that everyone present can picture, then build outward from it.

Start with the story, not the blank page

Answer a few questions and read three personalized openings before you pay for anything.
